Braddon is an inner north suburb of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia located adjacent to the Civic, Australian Capital Territory, Canberra CBD. Anzac Parade is a significant road and thoroughfare in the Australian capital Canberra, used for ceremonial occasions and the site of many major military memorials. Fairbairn Avenue is a major arterial road in the eastern suburbs of Canberra, the capital city of Australia. The road travels from a junction with Pialligo Avenue near Canberra Airport to the Australian War Memorial, a distance of . It is the primary access route to the Australian Defence Force Academy, Campbell Park and Mount Ainslie. Fairbairn Avenue carries the Alternative National Highway 23 designation for a short distance between Majura Road and Morshead Drive. This eastern section suffers from heavy traffic congestion during morning and afternoon peak periods and a number of recent upgrades aim to address this. The Australian War Memorial (AWM) is a national war memorial, war museum, museum and archive dedicated to all Australians who died as a result of war, including peacekeeping duties. Merici College is a Roman Catholic secondary day school for girls located in the Canberra suburb of Braddon in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Established in 1959, the College caters for students in years 7 to 12. The school's Principal is Anna Masters. History Merici College is named in honour of Italian saint St. Angela Merici. The Russell Offices, also referred to as Russell or RO, is a complex of office buildings located in Russell, a suburb of Canberra, constituting the seat of the Australian Department of Defence and part of the administrative headquarters of the Australian Defence Force.
