Limberg (Wiehen Hills)
The Limberg is a hill in the Egge (Wiehengebirge), Egge, a side ridge of the Wiehen Hills, south of Preußisch Oldendorf in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The ruins of Limberg Castle are located on the hillside. Limberg Hill The name ''Limberg'' is probably derived from the term ''liet'' ("gentle hill"), but it may also refer to lime trees. The Limberg is about 190 metres high and rises roughly north of the main crest of the Wiehen Hills, southwest of Bad Holzhausen. Opposite it, on the main ridge, is the Maschberg, also 190 metres high. Limberg Castle () is a ruined hill castle on the 190-metre-high Limberg (Wiehen Hills), Limberg in the Wiehen Hills. It is located near the village of Börninghausen in the borough of Preußisch Oldendorf in the East Westphalian county of Minden-Lübbecke in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. History The castle was built in the 13th century at a strategic site on the border of the bishoprics of Bishopric of Minden, Minden and Bishopric of Osnabrück, Osnabrück, probably by the Bishop of Minden. Monsefú
Monsefú, founded as San Pedro de Monsefú, is a town in Northern Peru, capital of the Monsefú District, Monsefú district in the Chiclayo Province that is part of the Lambayeque Region. Kriemhild Limberg (8 September 1934 – 24 August 2020) was a German athlete, who competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics and the 1964 Summer Olympics. Biography At the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, Limberg competed in the women's discus throw. Limberg won the British WAAA Championships title in the discus event at the 1964 WAAA Championships. Shorty afterwards at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, she represented Germany again in the discus event.
