Lima Golf Club is a Peruvian Golf club (establishment), golf club and Asociación Civil, civil association located in San Isidro District, Lima. Besides serving as a golf course, it also serves as a social club for the local British Peruvians, British community. History Prior to its establishment, a golf course existed in the Chucuito neighbourhood of Callao until 1915, when its premises moved to the Hipódromo de Santa Beatriz, Hippodrome of Santa Beatriz. After a search by local British Peruvians, Britons—some of them members of the city's ''Phoenix Club''—for an appropriate site the year prior, the club was officially founded on May 28, 1924, after member Arturo Porras convinced the Moreyra Paz Soldán family of selling their terrain, then in the process of becoming the "Conde de San Isidro" neighbourhood. San Isidro is an upscale Districts of Peru, district of the Lima Province in Peru. It is located in the west center of the city, it has a few meters of coastline. Officially created on April 24, 1931, San Isidro, along with Orrantia and Country Club neighborhoods, was separated from Miraflores District, Lima, Miraflores. El Olivar, Peru
El Olivar is a public park located in the neighbourhood of the same name in San Isidro District, Lima, Peru. Named after the olive trees located there since their introduction in 1560, it is part of the cultural heritage of Peru. History Originally part of the Guática territory, under the Spanish authorities it became part of the El Rosario hacienda, belonging to the Dominican Order until 1539. Martín de Porres was one of the people who planted olive trees in the area during the 17th century. The Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) is an annual amateur golf tournament, organized in conjunction with the Augusta National Golf Club, organizer of the Masters Tournament; The R&A, organizers of The Open Championship; and the United States Golf Association (USGA). The Hippodrome of Santa Beatriz () was a hippodrome located in Jesús María District, Lima, Peru. Now almost completely demolished, its former premises are now occupied by El Campo de Marte.
