Lim Say Hup
Lim Say Hup (1935–2005), was a Malaysian badminton player. Career Lim won the All England Open Badminton Championships in the men's doubles with Teh Kew San in 1959. He featured in the final of the 1958 Thomas Cup in addition to representing Malaysia in the Thomas Cup during 1961 and 1964. Lim also won the Glasgow World Invitational, All-Canadian Championships, All-American Championships and Malaysian Open before retiring in 1964. Thomas Wynn Rogers (1919–1998) was an American badminton player who won numerous U.S. national titles from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. Joe Alston
Joseph Cameron Alston (December 20, 1926 – April 16, 2008) was an American badminton player who won major titles between 1951 and 1967. Career Despite a career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation which sometimes interfered with his avocation, Alston is the only male player to win each of the sport's three basic events, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, at both the U.S. National Badminton Championships (closed to foreign competition) and the U.S. Open Badminton Championships (open to foreign competition). He and long-time partner Wynn Rogers were ranked number one nationally in men's doubles for fourteen consecutive years (1951–1964). Henning Borch
Henning Borch (9 March 1938 – 12 June 2024) was a former world class badminton player from Denmark who won major tournaments from the early 1960s to the early 1970s. Borch represented Amager Badminton Club in the domestic competitions throughout his flourished career. In the 1964 Borch reached the men's singles final at the prestigious All-England Championships, narrowly losing to fellow countryman Knud Aage Nielsen. Charoen Wattanasin () (born 1937) is a Thai badminton player who won international championships in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Career Between 1958 and 1962 Wattanasin captured the open men's singles titles of Malaya, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, and France. Heah Hock Aun, ( zh, c=連福安; 15 January 1932 – 7 May 2014) was a former Malayan (Malaysian) badminton player, known for his accuracy and touch, who excelled internationally during the 1950s. Early life Heah was born on 15 January 1932, in Penang, British Malaya. He was the son of Heah Joo Seang, a well-known rubber magnate, philanthropist and politician in Malaya.
