Lim Hyun-jun
Lim Hyun-Jun (; born December 21, 1988, in Daegu) is a South Korean relief pitcher who plays for the Samsung Lions of the KBO League. He bats and throws left-handed. Lim is currently the only left-handed sidearm pitcher in the league. Amateur career Lim played college baseball at Kyungsung University in Busan. As a freshman in he earned MVP honors at the President's Flag Championship, tossing a complete game shutout victory in the final game. Lim finished his first collegiate season with a record of 8–1 and an ERA of 1.61 in 67 innings pitched. In April , Lim was named to the preliminary 66-man South Korea national baseball team roster for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He was one of the only six amateur players in the preliminary roster. 2011 Baseball World Cup
The 2011 Baseball World Cup (BWC) was the 39th international Men's amateur baseball tournament. The tournament was sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation, which titled it the Amateur World Series from the 1938 tournament through the 1986 AWS. Panama were first-time hosts (beating out bids from Chinese Taipei and Venezuela), with games held in four cities, from October 1 to 15. The Netherlands defeated Cuba in the final, winning its first title, and only the second ever for a European team, after Great Britain's win of the inaugural 1938 AWS. There were 16 participating countries, split into two groups for Round 1, with the first four of each group qualifying for an amalgamated Round 2, which determined the single-game matchups for the finals. In baseball, a left-handed specialist (also known as lefty specialist) is a relief pitcher who throws left-handed and specializes in pitching to left-handed batters, weak right-handed batters, and switch-hitters who bat poorly right-handed. Because baseball practices permanent substitution, these pitchers frequently pitch to a very small number of batters in any given game (often only one), and rarely pitch to strictly right-handed batters. KIA Tigers
Kia Tigers ( ko, KIA 타이거즈) are a South Korean professional baseball team founded in 1982 and based in the southwestern city of Gwangju. Until 2001, they were known as the Haitai Tigers. The Tigers are a members of the KBO League and are the most successful team in Korean baseball, having won the national Korean Series championship 11 times with a perfect 11–0 record.
