Julie Power (also known as Lightspeed) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She first appeared in '' Power Pack'' #1 and was created by Louise Simonson and June Brigman. Publication history Julie Power featured in all 62 issues of ''Power Pack'' published by Marvel Comics between 1984 and 1991. Between issues #1 and #25 of the original ''Power Pack'' series, Julie starred as the alter-ego of the superhero Lightspeed, but her superhero codename changed to Molecula when she gained her brother Jack's powers during the course of a storyline. She continued as Molecula between issues #25—52 until she regained her original powers and superhero name, which she retained until ''Power Packs cancellation with issue #62. Gurihiru Studios
, also credited as Illustrator Unit Gurihiru and Gurihiru Studios, is a Japanese illustration team, consisting of Chifuyu Sasaki (workplan design, pencils, inks) and Naoko Kawano (workplan design, colors, webdesign). Both originating from Sapporo, Japan, they are currently based in Saitama, mainly working as artists for American comics. The two women are art school graduates who worked as web designers and art museum receptionists prior to their work in comics. After winning 2nd place in a manga competition, they were advised by the organizer of the contest that their art style didn't fit the Japanese market. They decided to try the American market and have since illustrated many American comics and graphic novels. Power Pack is a superhero team consisting of four young siblings appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Louise Simonson and artist June Brigman, they first appeared in their own series in 1984, which lasted 62 issues, and have since appeared in other books. Power Pack is the first team of pre-teen superheroes in the Marvel Universe and the first team of heroes in comics to feature characters of that age operating without adult supervision. "The Fall of the Mutants" was a comic book crossover event by Marvel Comics spanning January to March 1988. It spanned three issues each of '' Uncanny X-Men'' #225-227, '' X-Factor'' #24-26, and '' New Mutants'' #59-61; unlike most crossovers however, the various titles' storylines did not intertwine, but were instead linked thematically as each team underwent major ordeals and drastic changes in their status quo. The 1990 computer game '' X-Men II: The Fall of the Mutants'' was based on this storyline. Promotion Marvel Comics used a novel approach in advertising the crossover event.
