''Lift a Sail'' is the ninth studio album by American rock band Yellowcard. This was the band's first album without drummer Longineu W. Parsons III, who left the band in March 2014. Background On March 13, 2014, it was announced that drummer Longineu W. Parsons III left Yellowcard to pursue "other musical interests". A week later, the group signed a multi-album deal with independent label Razor & Tie, scheduling a new album in the fall. Razor & Tie owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam said that the band "rock the way we like it—with energy, hooks and attitude. They are total pros and we couldn't be more proud to work with them". On March 25, it was announced that Nate Young of Anberlin would play drums for Yellowcard's next album. Yellowcard
Yellowcard is an American rock band who formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997. Their official lineup currently consists of lead singer Ryan Key, lead guitarist Ryan Mendez, bassist Josh Portman and violinist Sean Mackin. Primarily a pop-punk group, their music is recognized for having a distinct and unique sound in its genre due to their prominent use of a violin. Emarosa ( ) is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2006. The band currently consists of lead guitarist and founding member ER White and lead vocalist Bradley Walden, who joined the band in 2013. The group has undergone several line-up changes throughout its career, with lead guitarist ER White being the sole remaining founding member. Originally oriented towards post-hardcore and alternative rock, Emarosa has gravitated towards a more pop rock sound in recent years. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average).
