Life In Your Way
Life in Your Way (also known as LIYW) is a Christian hardcore band from Connecticut. History Origins (1999-2002) The band was formed by two childhood friends Josh Kellam and Todd Mackey. Jeremy Kellam joined the band to play bass after the dissolution of his former band, which also included Casey McCue who played second guitar for a short period and was then replaced by Jason DiNitto. The band played many concerts throughout the Northeastern United States, quickly garnering acclaim and a rapidly multiplying fan-base. The band stayed a four piece for some time. At that time they befriended a band called Solace from New York, with whom they released a split CD entitled The Heart and Flesh Cry Out. The musical style of the band at that time far more influenced by metalcore than their later material. Todd who later played guitar for the band, played drums in this incarnation. Cornerstone Festival
Cornerstone Festival was a Christian music festival put on by Jesus People USA and held annually around July 4 near Bushnell, Illinois, drawing some 20,000 attendees each year. In a given year, many artists that played at Cornerstone also played at other events such as Creation Festival and mainstream festivals and tours such as the Warped Tour. The final festival was held in 2012. Cornerstone Festival was a member of the Christian Festival Association. History From 1984 to 1990, Cornerstone was held at the Lake County Fairgrounds near Grayslake, Illinois. In 1991, Cornerstone moved near the town of Bushnell (outside Macomb, Illinois, Macomb) where the organizers of the festival purchased a large piece of land, which is now called "Cornerstone Farm". Wrench In The Works
Wrench in the Works was an American Christian mathcore/metalcore band originating from Hartford, Connecticut. Formed from members of previous bands such as CT's Groundzero, Wrench was initially birthed as a side-project to transcend traditional expectations in the current genre and allow the artists more creative space to improvise and color outside the lines. Gradually the project came into focus as the primary collective endeavor and the band toured extensively during its active years throughout the United States and Canada. Wrench in the Works would undergo lineup/personnel changes at various times including pairing down from 5 members to 3 for the writing of "Lost Art of Heaping Coal" with the final lineup consisting of 4 touring/writing members for the "Decrease/Increase" release. Comrades (band)
Comrades was an American rock band from Richmond, Virginia. The band started making music in 2008 and released a studio album, ''Safekeeper'', in 2014 via Blood and Ink Records. Their members are Joe McElroy (guitarist), and Laura Anne Reitzel (vocalist, bassist). Unclean vocalist and drummer Ben Trussell announced in June 2017 that he has decided to amicably part ways with the band and work on a solo musical project called BJORN. Former Life in Your Way and Conveyer drummer John Gaskill took over the mantle of drummer and Unclean vocalist. In 2023, the band announced their disbanding in a formal statement.
