Adel Salah Mahmoud Eid El-Tawil (born 15 August 1978) is a German singer, songwriter and producer. Besides his solo career, he is part of the popular German duo Ich + Ich and a former member of the boy band The Boyz. Early life Tawil was born in Berlin. His father Salah Tawil is Egyptian and his mother is Tunisian. He is the first born of three, having a younger brother, Hatem, and a sister, Rascha. Musical career During the end of the 1990s, Tawil was part of the German boyband The Boyz. Since 2004, he and Annette Humpe formed the duo known as Ich + Ich. They have released three albums, ''Ich + Ich'' (2005), ''Vom Selben Stern'' (2007) and ''Gute Reise'' (2009). The Writing Camp is an American songwriting collective, founded by Evan "Kidd" Bogart and David "DQ" Quiñones. Since its formation in 2007, the team has been responsible for a series of successful released in pop, R&B and dance music, including 2008's " Right Here (Departed)" by Brandy and Beyoncé's "Halo." 2raumwohnung (; meaning "2-Room Apartment") are a German electro-pop duo that was formed in 2000 in Berlin. Its two members are singer, Inga Humpe, and her life partner, Tommi Eckart. They reached the high point of their career to date with the album "36 Grad" ("36 Degrees"), which remained in the German music charts for a total of 33 weeks. Paul Hartmut Würdig (born 30 November 1980), better known as Sido, is a German rapper. He interprets his artist name as "super-intelligentes Drogenopfer" (super-intelligent drug victim). It used to stand for "Scheiße in dein Ohr" (shit into your ear), a line from his track "Terroarr". Sido distinguishes himself by using provocative and aggressive lyrics. Annette Humpe (born 28 October 1950) is a German singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her band Ideal was one of the most important and seminal representatives of the Neue Deutsche Welle. In 2004, she returned as a singer with the project Ich + Ich after a longer break. Early life Humpe spent her childhood in Herdecke and Bad Pyrmont, where she graduated from high school in 1971. Following six semesters of studying composition and piano in Cologne, she moved to Berlin in 1974, where she started performing in various bands. Her younger sister Inga Humpe is a musician as well and they have worked on various joint projects. "Santiano" is a 1961 song, inspired by the sea shanty "Santianna", which uses the same tune. The song tells of a ship from Saint Malo bound to San Francisco, which is described as a place of great wealth. The French-language version was popularized first in the 1960s by Hugues Aufray. Moses Pelham
Moses Pelham (born 24 February 1971 in Frankfurt) is a German rapper, singer and producer. In 1993, together with Thomas Hofmann in Frankfurt, he started the Rödelheim Hartreim Projekt. Pelham is a member of the German band Glashaus. In 2019, in a lawsuit against the German band Kraftwerk, Pelham lost a groundbreaking in the European Court of Justice for unauthorised sampling. The ruling means that samples which are recognisable infringe copyright law where no permission has been sought from the rightsholder. However, there is no infringement if the sample is unrecognisable. The case was referred back to the German court who gave the final decision. The German court decided that the sample was recognisable, and therefore ultimately, Pelham lost his 20 year legal saga.
