Grant Liddle
Grant Winder Liddle (June 27, 1921 – June 29, 1989) was an American endocrinologist whose research focused largely on the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis. He was a professor at Vanderbilt University and chaired its Department of Medicine from 1968 to 1983. Biography Liddle was born on June 27, 1921, in American Fork, Utah. He attended the University of Utah, graduating in 1943, before moving to California to attend the UCSF School of Medicine. After graduating in 1948, he became a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health Metabolic Research Unit. From 1953 to 1956, he worked as a surgeon for the Section on Clinical Endocrinology at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Stephen T. Liddle FRSE FRSC is a British professor of inorganic chemistry at the University of Manchester. He is Head of Inorganic Chemistry and Co-Director of the Centre for Radiochemistry Research at the University of Manchester since 2015. Early life and education Liddle was born near Sunderland, in the North East of England, in 1974. In 1997 he graduated with a BSc(Hons) in chemistry with applied chemistry from Newcastle University. Peter Liddle is a British historian and author specialising in the study of the First and Second World Wars. In the 1960s he developed the Liddle Collection, a large collection of interviews and memorabilia mainly relating to the First World War that is now held at the University of Leeds. Career In 1968 Liddle started interviewing people about their lives during and around the First World War, collecting oral history from the era. He founded the Liddle Collection and worked to expand in throughout the 1970s and 1980s, placing advertisements and recording many interviews. Michael William Liddle (born 25 December 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Blyth Spartans.
