Liberal Party Of Ghana
The Liberal Party of Ghana is a political party in Ghana. The party replaced the Independent People's Party (IPP) which was originally founded by Kofi Akpaloo in 2011. Akpaloo, who was nominated to be the presidential candidate for the IPP was disqualified from contesting the 2016 Ghanaian general election due to problems with his nomination forms. The new party pledges to put people's lives first through technology. 2020 general election The party endorsed Kofi Akpaloo as their presidential candidate. The running mate selected was Margaret Obrine Sarfo. Jerry Owusu, the Director of Operations of the party announced in May 2020 that the party intends to field candidates in all 275 constituencies throughout the country. Kofi Akpaloo
Percival Kofi Akpaloo is a Ghanaian politician. He is the leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana. He was also the party's presidential candidate for the 2020 Ghanaian general election. Education Akpaloo studied at South Bank University to obtain MBA in Strategic Management and Master of Arts in Accounting. He also has ACCA in accounting from Emile Woolf College, London. Independent People's Party (Ghana)
The Independent People's Party was a political party in Ghana. Its leader was Kofi Percival Akpaloo, a Managing Principal for Doveson Lovell & Co. Its offices are based at Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The party's emblem was a computer and its motto was "putting people's lives first through technology". It never had any seats in the Parliament of Ghana. The party sought to gain seats in the 2012 Ghanaian general election of December 2012 but failed to do so. They had originally been scheduled for 7 November 2016, but the date was later rejected by Parliament. General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2020. Incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was re-elected in the first round after securing a majority of the votes. 2024 Ghanaian General Election
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2024 to elect the president and all 276 members of Parliament. The incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo, having completed his constitutional term limits, was ineligible for re-election.
