The Liberal Party ( km, គណបក្សសេរីនិយម), first known as the Constitutionalist Party, was a conservative, pro-French political party in Cambodia. Prince Norodom Norindeth ( km, នរោត្តម នរិន្ទដេត, 1906?–1975) was a member of the royal family of Cambodia. Active as a politician and diplomat during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, he started a notable political party.Corfield, J. General elections were held in Cambodia on 9 June 1955. The elections were held following the peace established at the 1954 Geneva Conference and the independence of the country.
