Liang Yan
Liang Yan (, born 4 October 1961) is a Chinese people, Chinese volleyball player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. In 1984, Liang was a member of the Chinese volleyball team that won the gold medal. She played all five matches. She is the only player to win all five straight major titles for China women's national volleyball team, during 1981–1986. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The China women's national volleyball team () represents the People's Republic of China in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches governed by Chinese Volleyball Association.
