Liam Scales
Liam Scales (born 8 August 1998) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or left-back for Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen, on loan from Celtic. Personal life Scales is from Barndarrig, County Wicklow. He studied Irish and geography at University College Dublin. He is a fluent Irish speaker. Club career Early career Scales began his career with Arklow Town before signing for UCD in 2015, making over 100 appearances for the club, and winning the Collingwood Cup as well as the League of Ireland First Division title in 2018. He was described as "a key player for UCD as they won the First Division title". Scales was voted by his fellow League of Ireland First Division players into the PFAI First Division Team of the Year for 2018. 2018 League Of Ireland First Division
The 2018 League of Ireland First Division season was the 34th season of the League of Ireland First Division. The league began on 23 February 2018 and concluded on 22 September 2018. Contrary to the previous editions, this tournament had 10 teams, which was the largest number since the 2011 season season, and saw the return of the promotion/relegation playoffs. Jim Goodwin
James Michael Goodwin (born 20 November 1981) is an Irish football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen. Goodwin had a playing career from 2000 to 2019 in Scotland and England, playing in a defensive role with Celtic, Stockport County, Scunthorpe United, Huddersfield Town, Hamilton Academical, St Mirren and Alloa Athletic. He also had a loan spell at Oldham Athletic. Goodwin also played at various levels with Ireland. He played once for the full Republic of Ireland national team, in 2002, and was capped once by the Republic of Ireland B team, in 2007. Goodwin began his coaching career at St.Mirren as a player-coach. After a stint as assistant manager at Alloa Athletic, he became the club's manager and helped them win a promotion.
