Liam Buchanan is an Australian cricketer who represented Victoria in 2005 and 2006. He is a brother of former Melbourne Renegades cricketer Meyrick Buchanan, and former Australian rules footballer, Amon Buchanan. Lorne, Victoria
Lorne is a seaside town on Louttit Bay in Victoria, Australia. It is situated about the Erskine River and is a popular destination on the Great Ocean Road tourist route. Amon Buchanan
Amon Buchanan (born 10 October 1982) is a former Australian rules football who played for the Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans in the AFL. He is currently serving as the forwards coach of the Greater Western Sydney Giants. AFL career Sydney Buchanan grew up in the Victorian town of Colac, west of Melbourne. He played football for Colac and the Geelong Falcons Under 18's team, winning a premiership with the Falcons in 2000 and subsequently being selected by the Sydney Swans in the post-season National Draft. He made his senior debut in Round 11 of the 2002 season against West Coast. By the end of 2002, he had played six matches, but had a disappointing season the next year, suffering knee and ankle injuries, not playing a single senior game and being delisted. Meyrick Buchanan
Meyrick Buchanan (born 15 September 1993) is an Australian cricketer. After being considered a strong junior prospect in both cricket & Australian Rules Football, Buchanan withdrew from the 2011 AFL draft to pursue his cricketing opportunities. He played one Twenty20 match for the Melbourne Renegades in the 2011–12 Big Bash. After losing his Cricket Victoria rookie contract after 2012/13 season, Buchanan switched his focus from cricket to football. Buchanan represented Geelong Falcons in the 2013 TAC Cup competition. Victoria Cricket Team
The Victoria men’s cricket team is an Australian first-class men's cricket team based in Melbourne, Victoria. The men’s team, which first played in 1851, represents the state of Victoria in the Marsh Sheffield Shield first-class competition and the Marsh One Day Cup 50-over competition. It was known as the Victorian Bushrangers between 1995 and 2018, before dropping the Bushrangers nickname and electing to be known as simply Victoria in all cricket competitions. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. The Melbourne Renegades are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket club based in Melbourne, the capital city of the Australian state of Victoria. The Australian Cricket Academy was founded in 1987 as a joint initiative of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and the Australian Cricket Board (ACB). It was initially located at Henley Beach in Adelaide before moving to the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, Queensland in 2004 and renamed the "Commonwealth Bank Centre of Excellence". It was designed to be a finishing school for leading young cricketers and is a program within the AIS.
