Este () is a town and ''comune'' of the Province of Padua, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is situated at the foot of the Colli Euganei, Euganean Hills. The 2012 European Track Championships was the third edition of the elite European Track Championships in track cycling. It was held on October 19–21, 2012 and took place at the Cido Arena in Panevėžys, Lithuania. It was the first European Elite Track Championships that had opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was held on 19 October, an hour before the start of the evening session.
