The Liaison Squadron of 3rd Aviation Corps (''Serbo-Croatian: Eskadrila za vezu 3. vazduhoplovnog korpusa / Ескадрила за везу 3. ваздухопловног корпуса'') was an aviation squadron of the Yugoslav Air Force formed in 1950 at Bornogaj airfield. The Air Force and Air Defence ( sh-Cyrl-Latn, Ратно ваздухопловство и противваздушна одбрана, Ratno vazduhoplovstvo i protivvazdušna odbrana ; abbr. sh-Cyrl-Latn, label=none, separator=/, РВ и ПВО, RV i PVO), was one of three branches of the Yugoslav People's Army, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav military. The 3rd Mixed Aviation Corps (''Serbo-Croatian: 3. mešoviti avijacijski korpus / 3. мешовити авијацијски корпус'') was an aviation corps of the Yugoslav Air Force established in 1949 as 3rd Aviation Corps (''Serbo-Croatian: 3. avijacijski korpus / 3. авијацијски корпус''). It was formed by order from July 24, 1949, with command in Zagreb as join unit composed from three aviation divisions and one aviation technical division. In 1953 it was renamed in to Mixed Aviation Corps. Corps was disbanded by order from June 27, 1959, with the "Drvar" reorganization of the Air Force. Yakovlev UT-2
The Yakovlev UT-2 (; NATO reporting name "Mink") is a single-engine tandem two-seat low-wing monoplane that was the standard Soviet trainer during World War II. It was used by the Soviet Air Force from 1937 until replaced by the Yakovlev Yak-18 during the 1950s. Development The preceding U-2 (Po-2) biplane was no longer a suitable trainer for the faster modern aircraft entering service, and to fill the role, the UT-2 was designed as a trainer. The new aircraft was designed by Alexander Sergeevich Yakovlev's team at OKB-115. Originally designated AIR-10, it was based upon the AIR-9, but it was simpler, with tandem open cockpits, also omitting slats and flaps. It first flew on 11 July 1935. Yugoslav Air Force Squadrons
Until the start of the 1959 reorganization of Yugoslav People's Army known under codename "Drvar", each Aviation Regiment of the Yugoslav Air Force comprised three aircraft squadrons and one technical squadron, whose task was to prepare materials and supplies of all three aircraft squadrons.
