Li Ye (; born 26 December 1983 in Changchun, Jilin) is a Chinese short track speed skater. At the 2002 Winter Olympics he won a bronze medal in 5000 m relay, together with teammates Feng Kai, Li Jiajun and Guo Wei. 2006 World Short Track Speed Skating Team Championships
The 2006 World Short Track Speed Skating Team Championships was the 16th edition of the World Short Track Speed Skating Team Championships, which took place on 25–26 March 2006 in Montreal, Canada. Teams were divided into two brackets of four: the best team from each bracket qualified directly for the final, while the two next teams entered for the repechage round and the last was eliminated. The best two teams in the repechage round qualified for the final. Thus, the final consisted of four teams. Each team was represented by four athletes at both 500 m and 1000 m as well as by two athletes at 3000 m. There were four heats at both 500 m and 1000 m, whereby each heat consisted of athletes representing different countries. There was one heat at 3000 m. The 2006 Winter Olympics, officially the XX Olympic Winter Games ( it, XX Giochi olimpici invernali) and also known as Torino 2006, were a winter multi-sport event held from 10 to 26 February 2006 in Turin, Italy. This marked the second time Italy had hosted the Winter Olympics, the first being in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo; Italy had also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1960 in Rome. Li Jiajun (; born October 15, 1975 in Changchun, Jilin) is a former Chinese short track speed skater who has won 5 Olympic medals – two silver and three bronze. He has been a two-time Overall World Champion for 1999 and 2001. Biography In 1998 Winter Olympics, he led for much of the way during the final race of the 1000m, but was edged out at the finish-line by Korea's Kim Dong-Sung, to win a silver medal. He also won a bronze medal in 5000m relay. The 6th Asian Winter Games () were held in Changchun, Jilin, China from January 28 to February 4, 2007. The Winter Games are a celebration of Winter sports in Asia.
