Lewis Lazar
Lewis Lazar is a musician, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and painter based in Paris. He has been active around three musical projects: under his own name, Oracle Sisters and formerly the supergroup Summer Moon. Prints from his illustrated book, ''The Book of JibJab'', were displayed at the Crypt gallery in London in association with black&BLUE in 2014 and subsequently sold in the UK. His band, Lewis Lazar and the Hydras, performed residencies at Happy Ending and the Leadbelly, and around New York City. He recorded and self released numerous recordings including ''The Time of the Assassins'' (2012), produced by Gordon Raphael, and ''The King O' The Cats'' (2013). In 2015 Lewis Lazar signed with Japanese independent record label MAGNIPH and Hostess to release his self produced record Razzmatazz recorded in New York City in Chinatown. Oracle Sisters
The Oracle Sisters is a Paris-based indie rock, indie folk, and indie pop band formed in 2017. The band consists of multi-instrumentalists Lewis Lazar, Christopher Willatt, and Julia Johansen. They were featured as one of NME's Essential New Artists for 2019. The name "Oracle Sisters" was inspired by the film The Warriors. Lazar said in an interview with Clash Magazine, "We were trying to find a gang name that connotated the type of music we were writing at the time. The Oracle Sisters was inspired by that concept of all these games. Like The Baseball Furies – the two words put together describe an entity. We were looking for our own warriors gang." Gordon Raphael is an American record producer and musician from Seattle, Washington and New York (state), New York, currently living in Hebden Bridge (UK), after a 15 years in Berlin. Nikolai Philippe Fraiture (born November 13, 1978) is an American musician best known as the bassist of the rock band The Strokes. Since co-founding the band in 1998, he has released six studio albums with them. Among other creative projects, Fraiture released a solo record under the name Nickel Eye in 2009 and has been the frontman of the band Summer Moon since 2016. Early life Fraiture was born in New York City to a French-Russian mother and French father. Joshua Michael Tillman (born May 3, 1981), better known by his stage name Father John Misty, is an American musician. He is known for his satirical lyrics and eccentric performance style. Tillman began his career in Seattle in the early 2000s. One of his demos reached Damien Jurado, and in 2003 he opened for him on his tour. Tillman began performing and releasing studio albums under the name J. Tillman. The albums were characterised by their folk sound and intimate lyrics.
