Lewis E. Reed
Lewis E. Reed (born October 9, 1962) is an American politician from St. Louis, Missouri. His last position was president of its Board of Aldermen which he held for record duration of 15 years. He was federally indicted on bribery charges in May 2022 and resigned his at large board position in June. In August 2022, Reed pled guilty to bribery charges and was later sentenced to serve three years and nine months in an Arkansas prison and fined $18,500. Reed started serving his prison sentence in Arkansas in January 2023. Education After graduating high school, Reed attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on a wrestling scholarship. Political career Reed was elected alderman of the city's sixth ward in 1999. He helped spur the revitalization of Lafayette Square and Gate District. Megan Green
Megan Ellyia Green (born July 25, 1983) is an American politician and educator from St. Louis, Missouri. She has served as the President of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen since 2022, having previously been the alderwoman from the 15th ward since 2014. Green is a progressive Democrat and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. Originally from Upstate New York, Green moved to St. Louis in 2005 to participate in the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs. She has a political science degree from Penn State and a PhD in education policy from Saint Louis University. Green is an adjunct professor at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, teaching public policy. Jamilah Nasheed
Jamilah Nasheed (born Jenise Williams; October 17, 1972) is an American politician from the state of Missouri. Nasheed formerly represented the fifth district in the Missouri Senate, and formerly served in the Missouri House of Representatives. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Early life and education Born Jenise Williams, she was raised with her three brothers by their grandmother in a St. Louis housing project. Her father was killed in a drive-by shooting several months before she was born. She attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis. Quid pro quo ('what for what' in Latin) is a Latin phrase used in English to mean an exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other; "a favor for a favor". The Enterprise Center is an 18,096-seat arena located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Its primary tenant is the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League, but it is also used for other functions, such as NCAA basketball, NCAA hockey, Concert tour, concerts, professional wrestling and more. In a typical year, the facility hosts about 175 events. Francis Gerard Slay (born March 18, 1955) is an American politician and lawyer who served as the 45th Mayor of St. Louis, Missouri from 2001 to 2017. The first mayor of the city of St. Louis to be elected to the office four consecutive times, Slay is the longest-serving mayor in St. Louis history. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
