Lewis Bridgeman
Lewis Bridgeman (born 2006 or 2007) is an English actor. At age 14, he joined the National Youth Theatre and performed in productions including ''The Wind in the Willows (2016 musical), The Wind in the Willows'', ''Posh (play), Posh'' and ''Arcadia (play), Arcadia''. In 2024, he joined the cast of the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' as Barney Mitchell. As well as acting, Bridgeman was accepted into Mensa International, Mensa at the age of 12. Life and career Bridgeman was born in Maldon, Essex, where he attended Plume School. Since the age of six, he has had aspirations to become either a drama teacher or an actor. At GCSE level, he achieved four GCSE#Grades and tiering, grade 9s, two grade 8s, two grade 7s and one grade 6. These exams included studying drama, which he also studied for his A-level (United Kingdom), A-levels. He also attended the Chelmsford Drama Centre at weekends. Maldon (, locally ) is a town and civil parish on the Blackwater Estuary in Essex, England. It is the seat of the Maldon District and starting point of the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. It is known for Maldon Sea Salt which is produced in the area. In 2011 the parish had a population of 14,220 and the district had a population of 61,700. History Early and medieval history The place-name ''Maldon'' is first attested in 913 in the '' Anglo-Saxon Chronicle'', where it appears as ''Maeldun''. Maldon's name comes from ''mǣl'', meaning 'monument or cross', and ''dūn'' meaning 'hill', so translates as 'monument hill'. East Saxons settled the area in the 5th century and the area to the south is still known as the Dengie Peninsula after the Dæningas.
