Letňany
Letňany is a cadastral area of Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1307 and became part of Prague in 1968. It has been included in Prague 18 since 2001, having previously been in the local government district of Prague-Letňany, and it has its own cadastral area (also called "Prague 18"). There is a large shopping mall, Obchodní centrum Letňany, with an area in excess of 125,000 m2. Letňany was the centre of Czech aircraft production, with major aviation companies such as Avia and Letov, but as the industry gradually declined, Letňany became a mostly residential district. There are two airports: the non-public international Letňany Airport and Kbely military airport. Nearby Letňany metro station opened in May 2008, on the new extension of Prague's Line C. Avia Motors
Avia Motors s.r.o. is a Czech Republic, Czech automotive manufacturer. Founded in 1919 as an aircraft maker, it diversified into trucks after 1945. As an aircraft maker it was notable for producing biplane fighter aircraft, especially the Avia B-534, B-534. Avia ceased aircraft production in 1963. Letňany (Prague Metro)
Letňany () is a metro station on Line C of the Prague Metro. It is located about one kilometre south of Letňany built-up area, on the border between Letňany and Vysočany, near a tripoint with Kbely, and it belongs to section IV.C2 of Line C, connecting Letňany with Ládví. The station was opened on 8 May 2008 as the northern end of the extension from Ládví and has served since then as the new terminus of the line. Line C (Prague Metro)
Line C () is a line on the Prague Metro. It crosses the right-bank half of the city center in the north-south directions and turns to the east at both ends of the line. It is the system's oldest and most used line, being opened in 1974 and transporting roughly 26,900 persons per hour in the peak. Prague–Kbely Airport (Czech: ''letiště Praha–Kbely'') (ICAO: LKKB) is a military airport located in Kbely, in the northeast municipal district of Prague, Czech Republic. Once Prague's principal airport, it is now used mainly as a military base for the Czech Air Force. It is the Czech republic's first ever airport. Letov Kbely
Letov is an aircraft company located in Letňany district of Prague, Czech Republic. It is the oldest aircraft company in the region. History Letov was founded in 1918 by the Czechoslovak Ministry of Defense to repair World War I trophy planes. The first indigenous aircraft, the Letov Š-1, was designed and built in 1920, and some 50 aircraft types were built by 1939. During World War II the factory served as repair shop for the German Luftwaffe. Production lines were also set up during World War II for combat versions of the Junkers Ju 290, Ju 290 aircraft, commencing with the Ju 290 A-2, which carried a search radar for its patrol role.
