Letoya Makhene-Pulumo (born 7 September 1984) is a South African actress, singer, traditional doctor, and TV personality. She is well known for acting in South Africa's famous soap operas, ''Isidingo'' and '' Generations:The Legacy'' and she is a daughter of an actor, singer, and traditional doctor Blonde Makhene. Career Makhene was a contestant in the first season of ''Idols South Africa'', and a co-host in season two. She trained for several months to be a traditional healer but stopped her practice and went on to work in Generations the Legacy Sowetanlive Retrieved 29 July 2016 until late 2019. Isidingo
''Isidingo'' was a South African soap opera, with dialogue mostly in English and isiXhosa. The series premiered on SABC 3 in July 1998 and was broadcast evenings on SABC 3 from Monday to Friday at 19:00. Until 2001 it was titled ''Isidingo: The Need''. Created by Gray Hofmeyr, the story is loosely based on another popular soap opera created by Hofmeyr, ''The Villagers'', that was broadcast during the apartheid era in South Africa. ''Idols'' was a television show on the South African television network Mzansi Magic, and previously on M-Net, based on the popular British show ''Pop Idol''. The show was a contest to determine the best young singer in South Africa. The general format of the show is that thousands of hopeful performers from across South Africa auditioned in front of the judges. They were narrowed down to approximately 100 to enter the theatre rounds. They performed in group and solo rounds until 16 finalists are chosen by the judges (usually 8 males and 8 females). From these, the top 10 are selected, then each week, viewers had several hours following the broadcast of the previous episode to vote by phone, SMS or online for their favourite contestant. This episode mainly centers around the couple of Stan and Francine, whom become divided over the architectural style wanted for the renovation of their kitchen. Greg and Terry, the Smiths' gay neighbors, intervene in the situation. Greg and Terry criticize the strength of Stan and Francine's marriage, much to their frustration. A bet is made in regard to the Smiths' rocky relationship: if Terry and Greg were to win the bet, they would receive the marriage license of Stan and Francine. Meanwhile, Steve, his friends, and Principal Lewis take advantage of Barry's proficient ability to count cards; however things become awry when they try to remove Lewis of his cut.
