Lethe (butterfly)
''Lethe'' is a genus of butterfly, butterflies in the subfamily Satyrinae of the family Nymphalidae. The genus was erected by Jacob Hübner in 1819. It includes the treebrowns, woodbrowns, foresters and their relatives. Jacob Hübner
Jacob Hübner (20 June 1761 – 13 September 1826, in Augsburg) was a German entomologist. He was the author of ''Sammlung Europäischer Schmetterlinge'' (1796–1805), a founding work of entomology. ''Lethe confusa'', the banded treebrown, is a species of butterfly belonging to the satyr family that is found mainly in Southeast Asia and in parts of South Asia. It is about 50–55 mm in expanse, with the upper surface of wings predominantly brown in colour. The forewing has a sub-apical white band and pale spot on the apex.
