Leta Mae Rains Andrews (born July 7, 1937) is a retired American high school basketball coach who holds the record for the most wins by a high school basketball coach. Biography Andrews was born near Granbury and graduated from Granbury High School in 1955. She grew up with brothers Walter and George, and sister Shirley who also played and later coached girls basketball. Clyde Rains held Shirley back for one year in school so she and Leta could play basketball together for four years in high school. Together, the Rains sisters led Granbury to the state championship game in 1954 and 1955, losing both years to Dimmitt. Coaching career Andrews coached high school basketball for fifty-two years at five high schools in Texas from 1962 to 2014, leading those teams to sixteen state Final Four appearances, and a state championship in 1990. Leta Powell Drake (March 10, 1938 – September 15, 2021) was an American broadcaster, television producer, screenwriter and television personality on local stations in Nebraska. Drake hosted ''Live & Learn'', a program for seniors on 5 City TV in Lincoln, Nebraska, and has been inducted into the Nebraska Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Nebraska Press Women's Hall of Fame. Drake acted in more than 100 plays and two movies. She was a member of the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE). Leta Hong Fincher is an American journalist, feminist and writer. She is currently a research associate at Columbia University's Weatherhead East Asian Institute. Early life and education Fincher was born in British Hong Kong, to a Chinese-American mother with roots in Xiamen, Fujian, and a European-American father. She grew up in Canberra after her parents received tenures at Australian National University. Her mother, a linguist, and her father, a historian, were both Chinese scholars, and she spent a significant portion of her childhood travelling to and from China. As a child, she spoke Mandarin at home with her mother. Leta Lindley (born June 1, 1972) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour between 1995 and 2012, and currently plays on the Legends of the LPGA circuit. She was runner-up at the 1997 LPGA Championship and won the 2008 LPGA Corning Classic. She has won three Legends of the LPGA tournaments, including her first career major, the 2024 U.S. Senior Women's Open. In Greek mythology, Leda (; Ancient Greek: Λήδα ), also rendered Lede, was an Aetolian princess who became queen consort of Sparta through her marriage to King Tyndareus. Zeus fell in love with Leda, and to avoid his wife Hera's jealousy, raped her while disguised as a swan.
