"Let There Be Light" is a single by musician Mike Oldfield, released in 1995. It is from the album ''The Songs of Distant Earth'' and uses audio from the Apollo 8 space mission. For the intro, the single uses the Apollo 8 Genesis reading. Charts It charted at number 51 on the UK Singles Chart on 2 September 1995. Music video The second pressing of the enhanced CD album (one of the first enhanced CDs) contains the full version of the "Let There Be Light" video. Footage from the "Let There Be Light" music video also appeared in the BBC science fiction documentary series '' Future Fantastic''. The music video was directed by Howard Greenhalgh. Hardfloor is a German electronic music duo, consisting of Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker. Their most famous track is "Acperience 1" (often titled more simply as "Acperience" on many compilation albums) and chosen by Feargal Sharkey as one of his 'Inheritance Tracks' when interviewed on UK's BBC Radio 4. Their distinctive acid house sound is attributed to their skill at manipulating Roland TB-303 bass synthesisers, using up to six of these machines at once. Howard Douglas Greenhalgh (born 19 February 1963) is a British director of music videos and advertising. Biography Greenhalgh was born in Halifax, West Riding of Yorkshire and studied at the Royal College of Art, setting up the firm Why Not after graduating. He came to prominence in the early 1990s with his direction of the music video for the Snap! song " Rhythm is a Dancer". Greenhalgh then was hired by the Pet Shop Boys to direct videos for their successful album ''Very'' and later its follow-up ''Bilingual''.
