''Let It Be You'' is a collaborative studio album by Joan As Police Woman and Benjamin Lazar Davis, released on October 21, 2016 by Reveal Records. The release was preceded by the single "Broke Me in Two". Music videos were released for "Broke Me in Two" and "Overloaded", both featuring comedian Fred Armisen. The duo followed the release by a UK tour. Critical reception ''Let It Be You'' received mixed reviews, with '' DIY'' noting it as a "curiously unbalanced album", while AllMusic described it as "a collection of appealingly loose, lush songs full of creativity". At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, this release received an average score of 65 based on 12 reviews. Joan Wasser (born July 26, 1970) is an American musician, singer-songwriter and producer who releases music as Joan As Police Woman. She began her career playing violin with the Dambuilders and played with Black Beetle, Anohni and the Johnsons, and Those Bastard Souls. Since 2004 she has released her solo material as Joan As Police Woman. She has released five regular studio albums, one extended play (EP), a number of singles and two albums of cover songs. Throughout her career, she has regularly collaborated with other artists as a writer, performer and arranger. Ian Chang
Ian Chang (born 7 October 1988) is a musician, drummer, and producer. He is the drummer of the American experimental rock band Son Lux as well as Landlady. As a solo artist, he has recorded three solo EPs: Spiritual Leader (2017), Romeo Remixes (2018), and Inhaler Remixes (2018), and released his debut full-length album ''属 Belonging'' in 2020. Chang has also worked with musicians Moses Sumney, Joan as Policewoman, Matthew Dear, Kazu Makino, Dave Douglas, and Chvrches. Career As a child, Chang studied classical piano and percussion at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He and his family moved to New Jersey in 2007 where he continued studying music and exploring New York City. He attended New York University where he received an undergraduate degree in jazz drumming in 2011. Weighted Arithmetic Mean
The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics. If all the weights are equal, then the weighted mean is the same as the arithmetic mean. While weighted means generally behave in a similar fashion to arithmetic means, they do have a few counterintuitive properties, as captured for instance in Simpson's paradox. Fereydun Robert Armisen (born December 4, 1966) is an American actor, comedian, musician, and writer. With his comedy partner Carrie Brownstein, he co-created and co-starred in the IFC sketch comedy series '' Portlandia''. He also co-created and starred in the mockumentary IFC series '' Documentary Now!'' and the Showtime comedy series '' Moonbase 8''. Benjamin Lazar Davis is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, arranger, composer, and record producer. He is a member of several bands, including Okkervil River and Cuddle Magic. Davis attended New England Conservatory of Music. Early life Davis's father Peter started being a musician at the age of five. Peter toured nationally and internationally with several groups, including a brief time with the Mamas and Papas. Like his son, Peter can play a variety of instruments ranging from banjo to clarinet to trombone. Davis's interest in Africa came through his father who spent three years in Malawi as a school music director. Davis has a brother and two sisters. He collaborates with his brother Tim on songs.
