Leszek Dunecki
Leszek Ryszard Dunecki (born 2 October 1956 in Toruń) was a Polish athlete who competed mainly in the 100 and 200 metres. He was the Polish champion on 6 occasions. He won a European Championship Gold medal in 1978 in the 4 × 100 metres. In 1979, was world student 100/200 runner up. Finishing 2nd only behind Pietro Mennea who ran the then new world record 19.72. Dunecki ran 20.26. Dunecki's Polish national record of 20.26 was improved in 1999, by Marcin Urbas (19.98 s), after 20 years. He competed for Poland in the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union in the 100 where he reached the Quarter final, and the 200 metres where he reached the final and finished 6th. He also competed in the 4 × 100 metre relay where he won the silver medal with his teammates Krzysztof Zwoliński, Zenon Licznerski and Marian Woronin. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping and throwing. Marian Woronin
Marian Jerzy Woronin (born 13 August 1956 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki) is a retired Polish athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres. He is a four-time European Indoor Champion in the 60 metres. He won nine Polish outdoor titles, and nine indoor titles. Career His first major medal came at the 1978 European Athletics Championships, where he anchored the Polish 4 × 100 metres relay team of Zenon Nowosz, Zenon Licznerski and Leszek Dunecki to the gold medal in the event. He won the bronze in the 100 m at the 1979 IAAF World Cup, running for Europe. He competed for Poland in the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union in the 100 and 200 he reached both finals finishing seventh in both sprints. Zenon Licznerski (born 27 November 1954 in Elbląg) is a Polish former athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres. He was Polish 100/200 metre champion in 1976, 77. He was a member of the Polish sprint relay team that won Gold in the European championship. He competed for Poland in the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union he competed in the 200 metres, where he reached the quarter final. Krzysztof Zwoliński (born 2 January 1959 in Krapkowice) was a Polish athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres. He was a Polish 60 metre indoor champion in 1986. He competed for Poland at the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union where he won the silver medal in the men's 4 x 100 metre relay event with his team mates Zenon Licznerski, Leszek Dunecki and Marian Woronin.
