Lessebo is a locality and the seat of Lessebo Municipality, Kronoberg County, Sweden with 2,737 inhabitants in 2010. The Lessebo community formed gradually around the paper and iron works that was founded in 1660. Today Vida Paper AB runs the pulp and paper mill as well as The Lessebo Hand Paper Mill which is one of very few commercially run European hand paper mills still existing. Lessebo is situated in what is called the Kingdom of Crystal, which is the centre of Swedish mouth blown glass production. Athletes Hugo Wieslander and Truls Möregårdh Truls Carl Eric Möregårdh (; born 16 February 2002) is a Swedish professional table tennis player. Lessebo Municipality
Lessebo Municipality () is a Municipalities of Sweden, municipality in eastern Kronoberg County in southern Sweden, where the town Lessebo is seat. The nationwide local government reform of 1971 saw the creation of the present municipality, when three surrounding municipalities were amalgamated with the market town (''köping'') of Lessebo (itself instituted in 1939) In its history, Lessebo Municipality still honours the Swedish emigration to the United States, Swedish emigration in the late 19th century, whereby many poor farmers from Sweden – many of them from Småland – emigrated to the U.S.. When Vilhelm Moberg wrote his acclaimed novels about this time, he located his main characters' home to the parish of ''Ljuder'' in eastern Lessebo Municipality. Kronoberg County (; ) is a county or '' län'' in southern Sweden. Kronoberg is one of three counties in the province of Småland. Kingdom Of Crystal
The Kingdom of Crystal (Swedish: ''Glasriket'', ''The glass realm'') is a geographical area today containing a total of 14 glassworks in the municipalities of Emmaboda, Nybro, Uppvidinge, and Lessebo in southern Sweden. (in Swedish) The two municipalities Emmaboda and Nybro belong to Kalmar County and Lessebo and Uppvidinge belong to Kronoberg County. The area is part of the province Småland, and Nybro is considered the capital of the Kingdom of Crystal area. The Kingdom of Crystal is known for its handblown glass with a continuous story since 1742. Truls Carl Eric Möregårdh (; born 16 February 2002) is a Swedish professional table tennis player. He took silver in the men's singles event at the 2024 Summer Olympics, as well as at the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships. In 2018, he took bronze with the Swedish team at the World Team Table Tennis Championships. Karl Hugo Wieslander (11 June 1889 – 24 May 1976) was a Swedish athlete. He set the inaugural world record in the pentathlon in Gothenburg in 1911 with a score of 5516 points.
