Lesego Rampolokeng (born 7 July 1965) is a South African writer, playwright and performance poet. Early life and education Lesego Rampolokeng was born in 1965 in Orlando West, Soweto, Johannesburg. He studied law at the University of the North in South Africa, but he has not followed this path any further. Works Lesego Rampolokeng came to prominence in the 1980s, a very turbulent time in South Africa. He was born and bred in Soweto:"I was born in Orlando West. Bred thorough all across Soweto. Orlando East, White City, Chiawelo, Meadowlands, Diepkloof. Lesego Semenya
Lesego Semenya (11 April 1982 – 12 July 2021), also known as Les Da Chef, was a South African chef, media personality, and writer. Early life and education Semenya was born and raised in Soweto. His parents were teachers, his mother a principal and his father a maths and science teacher, and he had two younger brothers. He attended Greenside High School and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand. Semenya began his career as a process engineer for the IQ Business Group and a journalist for the youth magazine ''UnCut''. In 2008, he decided to change careers after receiving a mild clinical depression diagnosis. He took a gap year to travel the country before enrolling at the Prue Leith Culinary Institute in Centurion, earning the Grande Diploma in Food and Wine in addition to five other qualifications. Lesego Tlhabi
Lesego Tlhabi (born 13 December 1988) is a South African writer and comedian best known for creating the character Coconut Kelz. Early life Tlhabi's parents, Brian Tlhabi and Penny Osiris, were both doctors. She was born in 1988, in the last years of apartheid. Her parents divorced and in 2010 a journalist, Redi Tlhabi, became her stepmother. Her comedy is influenced by her experience growing up as a relatively affluent black child attending mostly white institutions: for example, in junior school she was one of only two black girls in her grade. Tlhabi studied theatre in London at Brunel University and musical theatre and television writing in New York at the New York Film Academy and Columbia University before returning to South Africa to work as a screenwriter in 2014. Lesego Motsepe (28 April 1974 – 20 January 2014) was a South African actress, social activist and singer best known for her role as Letti Matabane in Isidingo from 1998 to 2008. Early life Motsepe grew up in Meadowlands, and attended Technikon Pretoria where she obtained a diploma in speech and drama. At the age of 5, she acted in a mutton advertisement on television, which earned her the childhood nickname ''Nama Ya Nku'' (Setswana for "mutton").
