Pieksämäki () is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Southern Savonia region, about north of Mikkeli, east of Jyväskylä and south of Kuopio. Helena Kekkonen
Pulmu Helena Kekkonen née Nousiainen (1926–2014) was a Finnish peace activist and pioneer of peace education. A graduate in chemistry, while working as an educator at the central prison in Sörnäinen, she was inspired by the Brazilian Paulo Freire's 1968 work ''Pedagogy of the Oppressed''. As a result, she started to encourage the prisoners to choose the subjects of their courses and discuss issues of universal concern as well as their own problems. From 1974 to 1986, she served as secretary general of the free educational association Vapaan Sivistystyön Yhteisjärjestön and thereafter of the peace education institut Rauhankasvatusinstituutin (1986–1990). She is remembered in particular for arranging international peace education meetings each year in Finland. For her national and international efforts to foster peace initiatives among educators, Kekkonen was the first person to be awarded the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education when it was initiated in 1981. Suonenjoki
Suonenjoki (; literally means "vein's river") is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Northern Savonia region, southwest of Kuopio. The town has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. History Suonenjoki is thought to have served as a milestone in the Treaty of Nöteborg in 1323. In the 16th and 17th centuries, more and more people began to settle in the area, and in the 18th century, a preacher room was established in Suonenjoki, then a chapel. In the current agglomeration, bridges over the river of Suonenjoki were built early, ''Kruunusilta'' (literally means "Crowns Bridge") already existed in 1780, and ''Siioninsilta'' (means "Zion Bridge") at the beginning of the river was replaced by a bridge in the 1830s.

Jorma Kalervo Hynninen (born 3 April 1941) is a Finnish baritone who performs regularly with the world's major opera companies. He has also worked in opera administration.
