Lepiota Locanianisis
''Lepiota'' is a genus of gilled mushrooms in the family Agaricaceae. All ''Lepiota'' species are ground-dwelling saprotrophs with a preference for rich, calcareous soils. Basidiocarps (fruit bodies) are agaricoid with whitish spores, typically with scaly caps and a ring on the stipe. Around 400 species of ''Lepiota'' are currently recognized worldwide. Many species are poisonous, some lethally so. Taxonomy History ''Agaricus'' section ''Lepiota'' was originally published in 1797 by South African-born mycologist Christian Hendrik Persoon. It was subsequently raised to the rank of genus by Samuel Frederick Gray. As originally conceived, the genus was a mix of agarics with rings on their stems, including species now placed in ''Armillaria'', ''Cortinarius'', and ''Pholiota''. Lepiota clypeolaria, commonly known as the shield dapperling or the shaggy-stalked Lepiota, is a common species of mushroom in the genus ''Lepiota''. The Basidiocarp, fruit bodies have a brownish pileus (mycology), cap, a shaggy stipe (mycology), stipe with a collapsed, sheathing annulus (mycology), ring or ring zone, and spindle-shaped spores. It is widely distributed in northern temperate zones, where it grows in deciduous forest, deciduous and coniferous forests. An agaric () is a type of fungal fruiting body characterized by the presence of a pileus (cap) that is clearly differentiated from the stipe (stalk), with lamellae (gills) on the underside of the pileus. ''Cystoderma'' is a genus of fungi in the family Agaricaceae or Cystodermataceae. Its family position is in doubt and the family "Cystodermataceae" and tribe "Cystodermateae" have been proposed to include this group following recent molecular work. Previously ''Cystoderma'' comprised a wider range of species but in 2002 Harmaja separated some of them off into the new genus '' Cystodermella'' (for instance '' Cystoderma cinnabarinum'', '' C. elegans'' and '' C. granulosum''). Elias Magnus Fries
Elias Magnus Fries (15 August 1794 – 8 February 1878) was a Swedish mycologist and botanist. He is sometimes called the Mycology, "Linnaeus of Mycology". In his works he described and assigned botanical names to hundreds of fungus and lichen species, many of which remain authoritative today. Career Fries was born at Femsjö (Hylte Municipality), Småland, the son of the pastor there. He attended school in Växjö. He acquired an extensive knowledge of flowering plants from his father. In 1811 Fries entered Lund University where he studied under Carl Adolph Agardh and Anders Jahan Retzius. He obtained his doctorate in 1814. ''Cortinarius'' is a globally distributed genus of fungus in the family Cortinariaceae. Its members are commonly known by the names cortinar and webcap.
