Arsis
Arsis is an American heavy metal band from Virginia Beach, Virginia, formed in 2000. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast. History Demos and Willowtip era (2000–2006) Arsis was started by James Malone and Michael "Mike" Van Dyne in 2000, who met while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The name ''Arsis'' comes from the musical term ''arsis and thesis'' meaning up and down beats. They recorded two demos independently in 2001 and 2002, which were later officially released by Negative-Existence Records in 2007. Arsis signed to Willowtip Records in 2003 and released their highly acclaimed debut album, ''A Celebration of Guilt'', in 2004, which later ranked #50 on Decibel Magazine's "Top 100 Death Metal Albums of All Time" list. Scion Audio/Visual
Scion Audio/Visual, also known as Scion AV, Scion A/V or SA/V, was an in-house record label and "lifestyle marketing" division of the Scion marque produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market. Along with the rest of the Scion brand, Scion A/V was absorbed into Toyota in August 2016. Marketing Scion Audio/Visual sought to market the Scion automotive brand to younger customers by promoting various music, art, and film projects. From 2003, Scion paid for dozens of artists to make recordings and videos that were distributed digitally through the Scion AV website, and they also put on hundreds of music and art events around the United States. Scion did not make a profit from Scion AV projects, and the artists involved retained all ownership of the creative content. Scion covered all production, licensing and distribution costs for the projects with any proceeds going directly back to the artist. ''Starve for the Devil'' is the fourth studio album by the melodic death metal band Arsis (band), Arsis. It was released on February 9, 2010, by Nuclear Blast Records. History Recording started in September 2009 at Planet Z Studios. Production was handled by Zeuss, Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who is best known for his work with Rob Zombie, Queensrÿche, Hatebreed, Overkill (band), Overkill, and many others. Christopher Harris (born April 1, 1972), known professionally as Zeuss, is an American record producer, mixer, guitarist, composer, and songwriter.
