Leopoldo Ruiz
Leopoldo Ruiz (7 August 1926 – 10 May 1986) is an Argentine professional golfer. He tied for fifth place in the 1958 Open Championship and tied for ninth the following year. He represented Argentina eight times in the World Cup. Golf career Born in Buenos Aires, Ruiz worked as a caddie in Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1951. During his career, Ruiz won the Argentine Professional Ranking four times, and competed in seven major championships, appearing five times in The Open Championship, from 1958 to 1961 and 1968, and twice in the Masters Tournament in 1962 and 1965. In 1958, he missed out on being in a playoff for the Open title, when he had a triple bogey at the last hole at Royal Lytham & St Annes to finish tied for 5th place, three strokes off the leaders. The Argentine PGA Championship is a golf tournament played in Argentina since 1920. It was generally supported by the leading Argentine golfers and its list of champions includes Eduardo Romero (8 times), José Jurado (7 times), Vicente Fernández (golfer), Vicente Fernández (5 times), José Cóceres (twice) and Ángel Cabrera. 1959 Canada Cup
The 1959 Canada Cup took place 18–21 November at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia. It was the seventh Canada Cup event, which became the World Cup in 1967. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 30 teams. These were the same teams that had competed in 1958 but without Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela and with the addition of Indonesia. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The Australian team of Kel Nagle and Peter Thomson won by 10 strokes over the American team of Cary Middlecoff and Sam Snead. The individual competition was won by Canadian Stan Leonard, who beat Peter Thomson at the first hole of a sudden-death playoff. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 32 teams. These were the same 30 teams that had competed in 1957 without Thailand but with the addition of Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The Irish team of Harry Bradshaw and Christy O'Connor Snr won by three strokes over the Spanish team of Ángel Miguel and Sebastián Miguel. PGA Championship

Argentine Masters
The Argentine Masters or Torneo de Maestros was one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Argentina, despite not having been played continuously since the inaugural event in 1961. The Center Open, or Abierto del Centro, is one of the major regional open golf tournaments in Argentina. Founded in 1927, it has always been held at the Córdoba Golf Club in Córdoba Province (Argentina), Córdoba. In 2001, Ángel Cabrera set the course record of 60 in the final round, and also equalled the tournament record aggregate score of 270, set by Ángel Franco in 1992. South Open
The South Open, or Abierto del Sur, is one of the major regional open golf tournaments in Argentina, and is also one of the oldest, having been inaugurated 1918. It has always been held at the Mar del Plata Golf Club in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province. The course plays to a par of 70, and the course record is 59, which was set by Miguel Ángel Martín in the 1987 Open.
