Leong Fook Weng
On 17 May 2000, at a vacant plot of land in Bukit Timah, 36-year-old odd-job worker and moneylender Leong Fook Weng () was found dead, wearing only his underwear and sustaining several stab wounds on his chest and neck. Investigations showed that Leong had been attacked and assaulted by four secret society members, and died as a result of a knife wound to his heart. The four attackers escaped Singapore after the killing, but two of them – See Chee Keong () and Robson Tay Teik Chai () – were discovered to be imprisoned in Cambodia and France respectively for unrelated drug offences, and the remaining two suspects – Lim Hin Teck () and Ong Chin Huat () – remained at large for the murder. Ang Soon Tong
Ang Soon Tong () is a secret society based in Singapore and Malaysia. According to a former police officer, the society was active as early as the 1950s, mainly in the Sembawang area. In 1998, a 19-year-old youth was arrested for setting up a website dedicated to the society. As recently as 2020, Ang Soon Tong is still active, with one of its members sentenced to reformative probation that year for clashing with members of another secret society. Chan Seng Onn
Chan Seng Onn is a Singaporean judge who presently serves as a Senior Judge of the High Court of Singapore. Formerly a prosecutor, Chan had previously served as a High Court judge from 2007 to 2022. Early life and education Chan Seng Onn was born in Singapore on 4 January 1954 as the youngest of three children, with two sisters. His mother was a housewife and his father worked as a sewage pump attendant. Choo Han Teck
Choo Han Teck (born 20 February 1954) is a Singaporean judge of the Supreme Court of Singapore, Supreme Court. He was formerly a lawyer before his appointment to the court as a judge. It was revealed in 2021 that Choo was one of the defence lawyers representing Adrian Lim, the infamous Toa Payoh child killer who was executed in 1988 for charges of murdering a girl and boy as ritual sacrifices. In 1994, Choo also defended Phua Soy Boon, a jobless Singaporean who was hanged in 1995 for killing a moneylender. Choo was first appointed Judicial Commissioner in 1995, and later appointed High Court Judge in January 2003.
