Leonard Montoute
Peter Lenard "Spider" Montoute (born 30 June 1962) is a Saint Lucian politician and former Minister and parliamentary representative for Gros Islet for the United Workers Party (UWP). Montoute lost his seat in the 2021 Saint Lucian general election to Kenson Casimir; this was a landslide victory for the Saint Lucia Labour Party. Political career Montoute represented Gros Islet constituency from 2006 to 2011. He was the Minister for Social Transformation, Public Service, Human Resource Development and Youth and Sports. He won the Gros Islet seat in the general election held on 11 December 2006. Montoute was also deputy leader of the United Workers Party and was considered a top contender for the leadership of the party, although he is also considered a political novice. Gros Islet
Gros Islet (English: ''Large Island'') is a community near the northern tip of the island country of Saint Lucia, in the Gros Islet Quarter. Originally a quiet fishing village, it has become one of the more popular tourist destinations in the country. History Originally settled by the Island Caribs, Carib (and possibly Arawaks, Arawak), the area was first identified as Gros Islet in a France, French map from 1717. The community was a Roman Catholic parish, and the first priests who arrived on the island settled in the village in 1749. Rufus Bousquet
Rufus George Bousquet (born 28 November 1958) is a Saint Lucian politician who formerly represented the constituency of Choiseul for the United Workers Party. Bousquet last won the seat at the general election held on 11 December 2006 but lost it to Lorne Theophilus in the November 2011 General Elections. Prior to 2000 his name was Bruce Tucker or, from 1989, Joseph Michael Bousquet. Early life He was born in St Lucia and educated until 1975 at St Mary's College. General elections were held in Saint Lucia on 6 June 2016. The result was a victory for the United Workers Party, which won eleven of the seventeen seats. On 7 June 2016 United Workers Party leader Allen Chastanet was sworn in as Prime Minister. Stephenson King (born 13 November 1958) is the former Prime Minister of Saint Lucia.
