Leon Williams (born 6 November 1983) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2009 to 2012. He held the British Cruiserweight title from 2011 to 2012. Williams won the Southern Area title in October 2010 with a points win over JJ Ojuederie. This was followed, however, by a second-round knockout by Richard Turba. The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) is the governing body of professional boxing in the United Kingdom. History The British Boxing Board of Control was formed in 1929 from the old National Sporting Club and is headquartered in Cardiff. Until 1948, it had a colour bar in effect by means of its Rule 24, which stated that title contestants "must have two white parents". Robert Norton (boxer)
Robert Norton (born 20 January 1972) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2011. He held the British and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles between 2008 and 2011. Once beaten by Pat Mallen Early career Norton started his professional career in September 1993, with a 2nd round win over Stuart Fleet in Walsall. By April 1997 he had compiled an unbeaten record of 17 wins against no defeats and only one draw (against Chris Woollas) and had earned a shot at the Commonwealth cruiserweight title. He travelled to Northern Ireland to challenge holder Darren Corbett in December 1997 and lasted the full 12 rounds in what was to be an unsuccessful attempt. Shane McPhilbin
Shane McPhilbin is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2009 to 2014. He held the British cruiserweight title in 2012. Career From Bulwell, Nottingham, McPhilbin's professional career started in 2009. In October 2010 he competed in the Prizefighter tournament, losing to Michael Sprott in the heavyweight semi-final. He beat Rhys Davies in June 2011 to take the vacant Midlands-area heavyweight title and in January 2012 challenged Leon Williams for his British cruiserweight title; McPhilbin won with a 12th round stoppage to become British champion.
