Leon Boyd
Leon Boyd (born August 30, 1983) is a Canadians, Canadian-born Netherlands, Dutch baseball player currently playing for Corendon Kinheim in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse. He is most often recognized for his accomplishments for the Netherlands national baseball team, Dutch national team at the 2009 World Baseball Classic. Baseball career B.C. Premier Baseball League Boyd was a starting pitcher for the White Rock Tritons of the British Columbia Premier Baseball League for three seasons. College career Boyd began his college baseball career playing for the Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon, during the season. He played only one season for the Chukars before transferring to Seminole State College (Oklahoma), Seminole State Community College in Oklahoma for the season. The 2009 World Baseball Classic (WBC) was an International Baseball Federation, international baseball competition. It began on March 5 and finished March 23. 2006 Intercontinental Cup
The 2006 IBAF Intercontinental Cup was held in Taichung, Taiwan from November 9 through the 19th. Eight countries contested the tournament, which was played at Taichung Baseball Field and the newly built Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium. The participating countries were Cuba, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines in addition to the hosts from Chinese Taipei (Taiwan).
