Leo King
Leo King (born 10 September 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong Football Club, Geelong in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League (VFL). Geelong King, a local North Shore Football Club (GFL), North Shore recruit, was a member of Geelong's 1980 reserves premiership team. A forward/ruckman, King had a short but eventful time in the seniors, all four of his games coming in the 1981 VFL season, 1981 season. He kicked three goals on his league debut, in round six against Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne, at the unfamiliar Sydney Cricket Ground. The following week he again kicked three, two in the final quarter, to help Geelong secure a narrow three point win over Hawthorn Football Club, Hawthorn. His only appearance at his home ground, Kardinia Park (stadium), Kardinia Park, came in round eight, when Geelong went down to Carlton Football Club, Carlton by five points. The Portland Football Netball Cricket Club, nicknamed the ''Tigers'', is an Australian sports club based in the city of Portland, Victoria. The club's football and netball teams currently compete in the Hampden Football Netball League, with the football squad having joined it in 2013 along with the Hamilton Kangaroos. The Geelong West St Peters Football Club, nicknamed the Roosters, was an Australian rules football club that last competed in the Geelong Football League (GFL) from 1989 until the end of the 2016 season. Prior to its merger with St Peters Football Club in 1989, the club played in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1963 until 1988.
