Nadjem Lens Annab (born 20 July 1988) is a Belgian-Algerian professional football player who plays as a midfielder. Personal Born in Belgium, Annab's family is originally from Algeria. His father is an ethnic Chaoui from Merouana, while his mother is also from the Batna province. He has two brothers and a younger sister. Club career Annab signed a contract with Westerlo in April 2008, while he was playing for Eisden Sport in Limburg Third Division, the 7th of 8 levels in the Belgian football league system. Annab also played futsal for ZVK Eisden Dorp at that moment, but quit after his surprise transfer. Lens Annab made his debut at the highest level in a 0–1 victory against Mouscron on 12 September 2009 and from then on featured regularly in the team. Chaoui People
The Chaoui people or ''Shawia'' ( arq, الشاوية, shy, Išawiyen) are an Amazigh (Berber) ethnic group to the Aurès region in northeastern Algeria which spans Batna and Khenchla, Oum El Bouaghi provinces located in and surrounded by the Aurès Mountains. Belgian Pro League
The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. Seasons run from early August to late April, with teams playing 34 matches each in the regular season, and then entering Play-offs I (also known as the ''Championship Playoff'', ''title playoffs'' or ''Champions' play-offs'') or Play-offs II (also known as the ''Europa League playoff'' or ''Europe play-offs'') according to their position in the regular season. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique. Naming ''Futsal'' comes from the Portuguese ''futebol de salão'' and from the Spanish ''fútbol sala'' or ''fútbol de salón'' (all translatable as "indoor football").
