Lenny Dee (DJ)
Lenny Dee (born 1968) is the performing name of Leonard Didesiderio, a DJ based in New York City. Starting as a house DJ in the 1980s, Dee quickly moved towards harder sounds such as techno and gabber. He set up the well respected record label Industrial Strength in 1991. Early life Leonard Didesiderio was born in 1968. He grew up in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn and became a DJ in his teens, when he started working at the local roller disco. Taking the DJ name Lenny Dee, he made his first record in 1985. He started playing house music and developed a rivalry with Frankie Bones, another young DJ. Tommy Musto told the two to work together and they started music under the name Looney Tunes. Their first record sold 15,000 copies and they were invited to England to play at raves. When he travelled through Europe, playing at dance parties in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, Dee's style became harder and faster. He started making techno and gabber. Tomorrowland (festival)
Tomorrowland is a Belgian electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Flanders, since 2005. History 2005 The first edition of the festival took place on 15 August 2005. Manu Beers, Michiel Beers and ID&T organized the festival. Performers included Push (M.I.K.E.), Armin van Buuren, Cor Fijneman, Yves Deruyter, Technoboy, Yoji Biomehanika and Coone. 2006 The second festival, on 30 July 2006, hosted Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Marco Bailey, Fred Baker, David Guetta, Ruthless and DJ Zany. Nasenbluten were an Australian electronic music group, formed in Newcastle in 1992. The group was made up of Aaron Lubinski, David Melo, and Mark Newlands, and released six studio albums before disbanding in 2001. They have been described as a significant influence on the breakcore genre. History The group was formed in Newcastle in 1992 by Aaron Lubinski (a.k.a. Xylocaine), David Melo (a.k.a. Disassembler), and Mark Newlands (a.k.a. Mark N, Overcast). They took their name from the German word ''Nasenbluten'', meaning nosebleed, in reference to the phrase "nosebleed techno", used to describe the harder and faster variants of the techno genre. Early in 1993, Lubinski founded the Dead Girl Records label (initially typeset as dEAdGirL) in Swansea. Ralphie Dee
Ralph D'Agostino, better known as Ralphie Dee, is an American D.J. known for a career spanning disco, electronic and rave music. He was resident D.J. at 2001 Odyssey Disco in Brooklyn, New York at the time when "Saturday Night Fever" was filmed there. The movie was largely responsible for the popularization of disco lifestyle, and attracted numerous tourists to 2001 Odyssey starting in 1978 and through the 1980s. Many disco music hits were first heard there from the hands of DJ's such as Chuck Rusinak and D'Agostino. He is best known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, alongside Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Marc Trauner (born April 7, 1969) better known by his numerous aliases including Marc Acardipane, Mescalinum United, The Mover, Pilldriver, Marshall Masters and Resident E, is a DJ and producer based in Frankfurt, Germany. Thunderdome (music Festival)
Thunderdome is a famous concept in hardcore techno and gabber music that was mainly used for a series of parties and CD-albums. It was organized by the Dutch entertainment company ID&T. The first party was organized in 1992 and the party held in December 2012 was advertised as being the end of Thunderdome. However, after the 2012 event, the party was brought back in 2017 for the 25th anniversary with a 2019 edition announced the following year. History Before the ''Thunderdome'' concept was started, ID&T organized a big rave called ''The Final Exam'', that was held on 20 June 1992.
