Lennart Ekdal (born 19 November 1953) is a Swedish journalist and television presenter. Career Born in Linköping, Östergötland, he began his career in financial journalism in the 1980s and is best known for his work on several TV4 programs, starting in 1990, before leaving in 2013. Before his success with TV4, Ekdal worked for the national public television broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT), the daily newspaper ''Dagens Nyheter'' and the weekly business journal ''Veckans Affärer''. Albin Ekdal (; born 28 July 1989) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Spezia and the Sweden national team. Formed at IF Brommapojkarna, he has spent most of his career in Italy, where he has made over 200 Serie A appearances. Hjalmar Ekdal (; born 21 October 1998) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Burnley and the Sweden national team. Beginning his professional career with IK Frej in 2018, Ekdal briefly represented Assyriska FF, Hammarby IF, and IK Sirius before signing with Djurgårdens IF in 2021. TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years.
