Lena Frier Kristiansen
Lena Frier Kristiansen (born 12 March 1983) is a badminton player from Denmark. In 2001, she won the silver and bronze medals at the European Junior Championships in the mixed team and doubles respectively. Partneres with Kamilla Rytter Juhl, they won the bronze medal the 2006 European Championships in the women's doubles event, and made it to the gold medal in 2008. They also competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, but was defeated in the first round by the Japanese pair Kumiko Ogura and Reiko Shiota in the rubber games. Kumiko Ogura
is a Japanese badminton player, affiliated with the Sanyo Electric team. Born in Kawagoe, Mie, Ogura started playing badminton at the age of eight. When she was in grade 1 in Shitennoji Senior High School, she entered the Japanese junior team. After graduating from high school in 2002, she joined the Sanyo Electric team. She partnered with Reiko Shiota, and they became the women's doubles runner-up at the 2005 Asian Championships. The two won their first world grand prix title at the 2005 Denmark Open. In 2006, she won the bronze medal at the Doha 2006 Asian Games, after being defeated by Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen in the semifinals. She also won the women's doubles bronze at the 2007 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Spała is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Inowłódz, within Tomaszów Mazowiecki County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Nicole Grether
Nicole Grether (born 17 October 1974) is a badminton player from Germany. She competed at the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Summer Olympics. Career Grether competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Juliane Schenk. They defeated Michelle Edwards and Chantal Botts of South Africa in the first round but were defeated by Ann-Lou Jørgensen and Rikke Olsen of Denmark in the round of 16. As of 2011, she now represents Canada with her partner Charmaine Reid. However, due to Grether still holding a German passport, the duo has been unable to compete as a Canadian team in a number of events. Juliane Schenk (born 26 November 1982) is a German badminton player. In March 2014 she retired from international play. Career In 2001, she won the European Junior Championships in women's singles. 2003 saw her win the women's doubles with Nicole Grether in two tournaments, the Irish International and the Bitburger Open. Schenk played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics, losing in women's singles to Tracey Hallam of Great Britain in the round of 32. She also won the German championship in the women's doubles with Grether for the first time. She also competed in women's doubles with partner Grether. Gail Elizabeth Emms MBE (born 23 July 1977) is a retired English badminton player who has achieved international success in doubles tournaments. A badminton player since the age of four, Emms was first chosen to represent England in 1995 and regularly played for her country until her retirement from professional sport in 2008. Her best results were winning gold at the 2006 World Championships in Madrid, 2004 European Championships in Geneva, and a silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games, partnering Nathan Robertson in the mixed doubles. Donna Kellogg
Donna Victoria Kellogg, (born 20 January 1978) is an English former badminton player. She is the European Champion, winning the women's doubles titles in 2000, 2006 and the mixed doubles title in 2008. She won the silver medal at the 2006 World Championships. Kellogg also won the women's doubles title at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and was part of the England winning team at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games. Career Kellogg first played badminton at the age of 10. Her first representative match for England was against China at the 1997 World Championships in Scotland.
