Leipzig-Stötteritz Station
Leipzig-Stötteritz is a railway station in the city of Leipzig, Germany. The station opened on 1 December 1891 and is located on the Leipzig Hbf–Leipzig-Connewitz and Leipzig-Engelsdorf–Leipzig-Connewitz railways. Since December 2013 the station is served by the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland, with train services operated by DB Regio. The station was rebuilt and modernised from October 2011, in preparation for the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland. This included the building of lifts, to make the station accessible to all. Leipzig Hbf–Leipzig-Connewitz Railway
The Leipzig Hauptbahnhof–Leipzig-Connewitz railway is a double track electrified main line in the German state of Saxony. It used to be a short link line from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) to Connewitz station, where it connects with the main line from Leipzig–Hof railway, Leipzig to Hof. The line was closed for good between Leipzig Hbf and Leipzig-Stötteritz in November 2012. Leipzig-Engelsdorf–Leipzig-Connewitz Railway
The Leipzig-Engelsdorf–Leipzig-Connewitz railway is a double-track, electrified main line in the Leipzig area in the German state of Saxony. It was originally built as part of the Leipzig Freight Ring (''Leipziger Güterring''), but since December 2013 it has also been mainly used for the operations of the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland. At the former Tabakmühle junction the line now transitions into the Tabakmühle junction–Leipzig Bayer Bf railway and the approximately 800 m-long section from Tabakmühle junction to the beginning of Leipzig-Connewitz station is closed. The Mitteldeutscher Verkehrsverbund (MDV) is a List of German transport associations, transport association in the Germany, German Leipzig-Halle (Saale) area. The company is based in Halle (Saale), but its head office is in Leipzig. The MDV is a so-called mixed transport association (''Mischverbund''). Mitteldeutschland S-Bahn (), , represents an enlargement of the previous Leipzig-Halle S-Bahn. DB Regio AG () is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn which operates regional and commuter train services in Germany.
