Leila Al Solh
Leila Al Solh ( ar, ليلى الصلح; born 1946) is the vice president of Alwaleed bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation and a former Lebanese minister of industry. Early life and education Born in Beirut in 1946, Leila Al Solh is the youngest daughter of the late former Lebanese Prime Minister Riad Al Solh. She is the aunt of Al Waleed bin Talal. She studied at the department of oriental studies of Saint Joseph University, Beirut. Career Leila Al Solh served as the minister of industry in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Omar Karami from 2004 to 2005, making her one of the early woman ministers in Lebanon. Al Solh is the vice president of Alwaleed bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation in Lebanon since its establishment in August 2003. Lebanese Muslims
Islam in Lebanon has a long and continuous history. According to an estimate by the CIA, it is followed by 67.8% of the country's total population. Sunnis make up 31.9%, Shias make up 31.2%, with smaller percentages of Alawites and Ismailis. The Druze community is designated as one of the five Lebanese Muslim communities (Sunni, Shia, Druze, Alawi, and Ismaili), even though most Druze do not identify as Muslims, and they do not accept the five pillars of Islam. Bassam Yammine (Arabic: بسام يمين; born 1968) is a Lebanese economist and former CEO of Credit Suisse Saudi Arabia. Early life and education Yammine was born into a Maronite family. He obtained bachelor of arts and master's degrees from Loyola Marymount University. Then he received an MBA degree in finance from the University of Chicago in 1994. Elias (Elie) Skaff (11 October 1948 – 10 October 2015), in Arabic الياس سكاف , was a Lebanese politician and leader of the " Popular Bloc". Early years and education Elias Skaff was born in Zahlé, Lebanon on 11 October 1948. He is the son of the leader and ex-minister Joseph Tohme Skaff. His mother is Helena Nilacos who is of the Greek nationality. Elias Skaff received elementary education in Zahle and then in New Zealand. In 1965, he attended the Evangelical School in Zahle and then the International School of Choueifat – Lebanon. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1975.
