Leicester Pride
Leicester Pride is an annual LGBT pride event in Leicester, England, which started to take place in 2001. The launch project intended to involve the lesbian and gay community in the production of the Leicester Pride Carnival, to involve the whole community in the carnival itself and to promote better understanding. It was supported by Arts Council England. The event is free, and starts with a parade from the city centre to Victoria Park. Leicester Pride is an annual LGBT Pride event that takes place in the summer, and includes a parade through the city centre and a festival on Victoria Park, and then events running into the evening in the gay ''Gay'' is a term that primarily refers to a homosexual person or the trait of being homosexual. Victoria Park in Leicester, England is a public park of 69 acres (279,000 m2). It is in the south-east, just outside the city centre, backing on to the University of Leicester and close to the Leicester railway station. Highcross
Highcross Leicester is a shopping centre in Leicester, England. It was opened as The Shires in 1991 to supplement the Haymarket Shopping Centre, also since re-developed. It was built on a central location within the city centre on Eastgates and High Street. Frontages of buildings that were demolished were retained and new external construction was in a 'neo-Victorian' vernacular. An extension opened in 1994, with a frontage on to Church Gate. A further large extension opened in 2008, when the entire centre was renamed Highcross Leicester. Robbie Lewis (born 30 August 1986), and Sam Milan (born 24 October 1982), better known together as the Mix Munkies (Mix muhng-kee; from Low German;), are two English DJ's, remixers, and record producers from Leicester, England. Their musical taste and style covers a wide range of genres but is primarily identified as house music. Blazin' Squad were an English hip hop group. The group had six top ten hits, including "Crossroads", a cover version of the Bone Thugs-n-Harmony original.
