Sasha Argov
Alexander "Sasha" Argov (; born Alexander Abramovich; Moscow, 26 October 1914 – Tel Aviv, 27 September 1995) was a prominent Israeli composer. Life and career Argov was born Alexander Abramovich in Moscow, Russia in 1914. Later he changed his last name to its Hebrew version, Argov, in 1946. His father was a dentist and his mother a concert pianist. He began studying the piano with his mother at the age of three, and at the age of six he began to compose music by ear which his mother transcribed into music notation for him. He had no formal education in music outside of his lessons with his mother. He migrated to British Palestine from Russia in 1934 with his parents. He never made a living with his music, working first as a bank clerk and later owning and operating a bookshop. Argov composed many popular songs, producing approximately 1,200 works. Rafael "Raful" Eitan (; 11 January 1929 – 23 November 2004) was an Israeli general, former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (Ramatkal) and later a politician, a Knesset member, and government minister. Yair Rosenblum
Yair Rosenblum (; January 6, 1944 – August 27, 1996) was an Israeli composer and arranger. Early Life Rosenblum was born in Tel Aviv. He served his military service in The Nahal Band, which would ultimately be where his musical career began. Music career Rosenblum was the musical director of the Israel Defense Forces chorus in the 1960s and 1970s. He directed Israel's annual music festivals. For the army and navy ensembles of the Israel Defense Forces, he oversaw conducting and wrote music. He is best known for such songs, including ''Shir LaShalom'' (1970). Yoram Taharlev
Yoram Taharlev (; 24 January 1938 – 6 January 2022) was an Israeli poet, lyricist, and author. He wrote lyrics for hundreds of songs recorded by prominent composers and performers. Biography Yoram Taharlev was born on Kibbutz Yagur to Yaffa Yitzikovitz and the author and poet Haim Taharlev. During his military service, he served as a reporter for the army newspapers ''Bamahane Gadna'' and ''Bamahane Nahal''.
