Legia Warsaw (basketball)
Legia Warszawa Sekcja Koszykówki (in English: Legia Warsaw Basketball Section) is a Polish men's basketball club, based in Warsaw. The team currently plays in the Polish Basketball League, PLK, the Polish first division. The club was established in 1929 as the basketball section of the military multi-sport club of Legia Warsaw. Legia became the leading team in Polish basketball in the 1950s and 1960s with seven national championships and two national cups. It is one of the sports sections of Legia brand, with the most famous being a Legia Warsaw, football team. History First steps to glory The basketball section of Legia Warsaw was founded in 1929. Polska Liga Koszykówki (PLK) (English language, English: Polish Basketball League), officially known as the Orlen Basket Liga due to its sponsorship by Orlen, is a professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Poland. It constitutes the first and highest-tier level of the Polish basketball league system, Polish league pyramid. The winning team of the final round are crowned the Polish Champions of that season. It began in 1947–48, with the name of I Liga, and was originally organized by the Polish Basketball Federation. The 2022–23 Basketball Champions League was the 7th season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), the premier European Professional sports, professional basketball competition for Sports club, clubs launched by FIBA. Keifer Jerail Sykes (born December 30, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Legia Warsaw of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). 2024-25 European North Basketball League
A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. Ivica Skelin (born 19 September 1973) is a Croatian professional basketball coach who was lastly a head coach for Legia Warsaw of the Polish Basketball League (PLK).
