Arizona Athletic Grounds (formerly known as Bell Bank Park, Legacy Park) is an American multi-purpose sports complex in Mesa, Arizona. It opened on January 7, 2022, before its Grand Opening on 4 February 2022, headlined by musician Lindsey Stirling. History Bell Bank Park is situated on the site of a former General Motors testing facility. In 2018, Mesa voters voted against a bond request for a state owned sports facility nearby and that paved the way for this facility. Ground was broken on the project in October, 2020. The facility is the vision of Legacy Sports, and was known as Legacy Sports Park before a 10-year naming rights deal was struck with Bell Bank. The facility was estimated to have cost $280million. Prior to completion, events were booked including the Jam On It amateur basketball tournaments, who committed to hosting events at the facility until 2032. The Arizona Red Devils were a women's American football team in the Extreme Football League ( X League) based in Mesa, Arizona. Due to season cancellations and issues within the franchise during the league's 2022 season, the team did not compete in the X League. History The Extreme Football League ( X League) was announced in December 2019, as a successor to the Legends Football League (LFL). The original announcement included a team in Omaha, Nebraska, the Omaha Red Devils, a successor to the LFL's Omaha Heart. The X League's 2020 season was postponed and the Omaha Red Devils never played as the brand was relocated to Arizona for the 2021 season. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the X League again did not operate during 2021. Park–Gilbert Buccaneers
Park University is a private university in Parkville, Missouri, United States. It was founded in 1875. In the fall of 2023, Park had an enrollment of 6,389 students. History The school which was originally called Park College was founded in 1875 by John A. McAfee on land donated by George S. Park with its initial structure being the stone hotel Park owned on the bluff above the Missouri River. The original concept called for students to receive free tuition and board in exchange for working up to half day in the college's farm, electrical shop or printing plant. According to the terms of the arrangement if the "Parkville Experiment" did not work out within five years, the college grounds were to revert to Park.
