Lega Autonomia Veneta
The Lega Autonomia Veneta (Venetian Autonomy League, LAV) was a centre-left regionalist political party in Veneto. History The party's long-standing leaders were Mario Rigo, a former Mayor of Venice (1975–1985) and MEP (1984–1989) for the Italian Socialist Party, and incumbent Senator, and Oscar De Bona, Socialist President of the Province of Belluno since 1990. In the 1990 regional election the party, at time called ''Iniziativa Civica'' ("Civic Initiative") won 0.9% of the vote, but, as Liga Veneta–Lega Nord boomed in the early 1990s, the party changed its name into Lega Autonomia Veneta, with a very small word "Autonomia", and its symbol into former Liga's symbol the lion of Saint Mark. The LAV increased its share of votes, gaining 5-6% of the vote in Senate elections. Mario Rigo
is a character created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. He is the title character of the ''Mario'' franchise and the mascot of Japanese video game company Nintendo. Mario has appeared in over 200 video games since his creation. Depicted as a short, pudgy, Italian plumber who resides in the Mushroom Kingdom, his adventures generally center on rescuing Princess Peach from the Koopa villain Bowser. Mario has access to a variety of power-ups that give him different abilities. Mario's fraternal twin brother is Luigi. Alberto da Giussano (in Lombard ''Albert de Giussan'', in Latin ''Albertus de Gluxano'') is a legendary character of the 12th century who would have participated, as a protagonist, in the battle of Legnano on 29 May 1176. Giorgio Panto
Giorgio Panto (1 October 1941 – 26 November 2006) was an Italian entrepreneur and politician. Panto was born at Meolo, in the Province of Venice. After being a long-time supporter of the Liga Veneta–Lega Nord, in 2004 he founded a new Venetist and fiscal federalist party called North-East Project (''Progetto NordEst'', PNE), in which he welcomed many former ''Leghisti'' as Ettore Beggiato, Mariangelo Foggiato and Diego Cancian. It was not the first time that Panto run for the post of President of the Region: in fact, in the 1995 regional election Panto won 3.7%, under the banner of New Italy and Lega Autonomia Veneta. Massimo Cacciari (; born 5 June 1944) is an Italian philosopher, politician and public intellectual. Biography Born in Venice, Cacciari graduated in philosophy from the University of Padua (1967), where he also received his doctorate, writing a thesis on Immanuel Kant's ''Critique of Judgment''. In 1985, he became professor of Aesthetics at the Architecture Institute of Venice. The North-East Movement ( it, Movimento Nordest) was a federalist political party active in Veneto, Italy. History The party was founded in 1997 and officially launched in January 1998 by the mayor of Venice, Massimo Cacciari, and the former president of the industrialists of Veneto, Mario Carraro. It was also known as the "Catalan party".
